Aegon eyes sale of UK business amid US pivot

The insurance giant is moving to US and rebranding as Transamerica as part of a major business overhaul that could see its City operations sold

Aegon could sell its UK business as it shifts its headquarters and listing to the US.

The retirement and insurance giant confirmed on 10 November that it was undergoing a “strategic review of Aegon UK, evaluating all options, including divestment”.
