Algebris Investments, the asset manager founded by Italian hedge fund star Davide Serra, has registered a trademark for an active ETF business in the UK.

According to a filing with the Intellectual Property Office — the government body which oversees patents, designs, trademarks and copyright — a trademark for Active ETFs by Algebris was registered on 10 October.
