Ashurst has agreed to merge with US law firm Perkins Coie in the latest transatlantic deal to hit the legal sector.

The combined firm, Ashurst Perkins Coie, comes after the tie-up between Magic Circle firm A&O and New York’s Shearman & Sterling in 2024, and Herbert Smith Freehills’s merger with US law firm Kramer Levin in 2025, which created HSF Kramer.
