Bain Capital is one of three private equity firms that remain in the hunt for UK wealth firm Amber River after a first round gauged interest in acquiring the company.

The deadline for initial bids was 3 November, according to people familiar with the matter, with potential suitors needing to meet a £700m threshold to pass to the next round.
