Bank of America grows dealmaking fees 43% as Wall Street gets busy

US bank outpaces some its main rivals as advisory and underwriting work booms

Bank of America reported a 43% surge in investment banking fees during the third quarter as it joined rivals in reporting a strong period for dealmaking and trading.

The US bank’s dealmaking fees were $2bn during the three months through September, compared to $1.4bn during the same period a year earlier.
