Bank of America has named 394 new managing directors, edging up promotions to the coveted rank compared with last year.

The US bank has followed rivals Barclays and Goldman Sachs by increasing the size of its managing director class. This is the highest rank at Bank of America and comes with a hefty pay rise and an increase in responsibility.
