Bank of England hires consultants as it looks to slash costs

Threadneedle Street is looking for ‘efficiencies’ as its spending escalates

The Bank of England has hired a consultancy firm to advise it on a cost-cutting drive.

City management consultants Korn Ferry have been paid £600,000 “to provide services to support the Bank to identify efficiencies and reduce costs in Bank operations”, according to a contract notice published last month.
