The Big Four’s retreat across regions in a push to cut costs is opening up opportunities for other international advisory firms, according to rival consultancy Kroll.

“There is a real shift in how people view the Big Four — their partnership models and their geographical models. That creates opportunities,” said Brent Tomlinson, president of risk advisory and a member of the executive leadership team at Kroll. “The Big Four just left northern Africa and that’s an opportunity for someone.”
