Boris Johnson has survived a no confidence vote in his leadership, despite more than 140 of his own MPs voting against him.

In a test of his standing with the Conservative Party in wake of Partygate, Johnson narrowly survived the vote, with the 148 rebel votes 32 shy of the amount needed to trigger a leadership election.
