Cavendish hails ‘signs of life’ in UK dealmaking as investment bank grows profit

City broker’s half-year profit surpassed its previous annual total

London’s IPO market is moving closer to drawing a line under a torrid few years, according to Cavendish, as the City investment bank reported a higher half-year profit.

“There’s good chat around, as it were,” Cavendish’s co-chief executive Julian Morse told Financial News on the UK’s dealmaking environment.
