Citigroup has tapped HSBC’s global head of energy investment banking as the US bank continues to pounce on rivals to build out its dealmaking team.

Rajat Katyal is set to join Citigroup as head of energy investment banking for the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa and Asia South, according to a memo seen by Financial News.
