City broker Sigma hit with winding-up petition

Sigma Broking was fined £1.1m by the Financial Conduct Authority earlier this month

London-based Sigma Broking has been issued a winding-up petition, in the latest challenge for the loss-making firm after the departure of its top executives.

Rampart Corporate Advisors, a Gibraltar-based professional services firm, made the petition against Sigma on 8 August, according to legal filings.
