CME Group was hit by a data centre issue that halted trading on the world’s largest derivatives exchange for around 11 hours, disrupting stock futures and other key markets.

“Due to a cooling issue at CyrusOne data centers, our markets are currently halted,” CME said in a statement early on 28 November.
