Deutsche Bank to roll out ‘banking butlers’ for affluent clients

AI enabled agents will be part of a €600m technology spend in the German lender’s wealth business

Deutsche Bank is planning to roll out “banking butlers” for its mass affluent clients as the German lender looks to AI to scale its wealth arm and cut costs.

Claudio de Sanctis, Deutsche Bank’s private banking boss, said at the bank’s investor day that it sees a “significant opportunity to leverage agentic AI to open new revenue opportunities”.
