Electronic trading pioneer Richard Balarkas has stepped down from the board of Cboe Europe after nine years.

 in modernising the London Stock Exchange after the Big Bang, left Cboe after serving a full term as a non-executive director, a spokesperson confirmed. He joined the board in February 2016.
