Elon Musk says he won’t go ahead with his $44bn deal to buy Twitter until he sees proof that the social media platform has less than 5% bot accounts.

In a 17 May Tweet, the Tesla chief executive said that Twitter’s chief executive Parag Agrawal “publicly refused to show proof of <5%”.
