Euronext hires ex-Goldman dark pool chief

Former chief operating officer at the US bank's Sigma-X dark pool joins European exchange operator to help drive its cash equities strategy

Euronext, the newly-independent European exchange operator, has hired the former chief operating officer of Goldman Sachs’s European dark pool to help drive its cash equities strategy.

Socratis Ayiomamitis, previously COO at the US bank's Sigma-X dark pool, joined Euronext this month as head of business development for UK cash equities.
