Ex-Greenhill CEO Scott Bok to juniors: ‘Don’t choose a bank that is going to work you to death’

The former boutique boss says that investment banking remains a good place to work, but that juniors should be mindful of which firm they choose

The former chief executive of boutique Greenhill & Co has said juniors starting out should make “smart choices” about which investment bank they work for. 

Scott Bok, who spent nearly two decades leading Greenhill, said investment banking is still a “great place to start a career” where juniors can “learn a lot of financial skills”. However, juniors need to be wary of firms that force them to work excessive hours.
