Goldman Sachs star trader Wajih Ahmed has left the bank to join Dmitry Balyasny’s hedge fund as a macro portfolio manager.

Ahmed, who became one of the youngest vice presidents at Goldman Sachs in 2020 at the age of 22, has joined Balyasny Asset Management’s London office.
