Goldman Sachs will commit “several billion pounds” into UK infrastructure as the Wall Street bank also plans an additional 500 jobs to its office in Birmingham.

The bank will double its workforce in Birmingham, it said in a statement, to over 1,000 employees over the coming years. Goldman opened an office to house technology functions in the city three years ago.
