Robert Mullane has the kind of travel schedule that most chief executives would baulk at.

When Financial News catches up with Goldman Sachs’s co-head of private wealth for Emea at the US bank’s City headquarters, he is recovering after several full-on weeks of conferences in South Africa, Spain, Italy and the Middle East. If that wasn’t gruelling enough, there was also the company off-site in Miami to attend.
