HSBC names Nelson interim chair as Tucker takes AIA role

The UK lender is searching for a permanent successor to Sir Mark Tucker, who has spent eight years in the job

HSBC has named board member Brendan Nelson as interim chair as Sir Mark Tucker steps down after eight years.

Tucker is set to become a non-executive director at insurer AIA on 1 October, and HSBC said that it will continue its search for his successor with Nelson at the helm.
