HSBC's Green to chair BBA

Stephen Green, who replaced Sir John Bond as chairman of HSBC in May, has been appointed chairman of the British Bankers' Association.

Green, who was chief executive of HSBC before taking over from Bond, succeeds former Barclays chairman Sir Peter Middleton at the BBA, who has retired from the position after a two-year term of office.
