Jefferies has hired a managing director from rival Cantor Fitzgerald to lead its outsourced trading business globally, as the US investment bank doubles down on the growing sector.

Brandon Peoples is set to join Jefferies in New York as global head of outsourced trading in January, according to people familiar with the matter.
