JPMorgan is building a new 3m square foot UK headquarters that will house 12,000 employees in a major boost to Canary Wharf that has seen some high-profile exits in recent months.

The US bank said that it plans to build a new tower to house its UK staff at the Riverside development in Canary Wharf, which will take six years to build and provide more space for expansion in London.
