M&G, the UK-listed savings and investments group, has acquired a majority stake in private credit specialist P Capital Partners, the latest deal to take place in the fast-growing private markets sector.

The deal will see M&G take a 70% stake in Stockholm-based P Capital. It will become part of M&G’s existing £73bn private markets business, and sit alongside the £19bn it already oversees in private credit and structured credit.
