Microsoft’s partnership with OpenAI to be probed by UK regulator

Microsoft said it will work closely with the CMA to provide all the information it needs

The UK’s Competition and Markets Authority said it is investigating whether the partnership between Microsoft and OpenAI will impact market competition.

The regulator said on 8 December that it is inviting interested parties to comment on whether the partnership between Microsoft and OpenAI has resulted in a relevant merger situation and its potential impact on competition in the UK.
