Nomura hands wholesale boss Willcox $15m pay after profit surges

British banker’s pay up 25% to almost double CEO’s

Nomura paid the head of its wholesale division $15m last year, almost double what its chief executive made, after the Japanese bank booked a record profit.

Christopher Willcox, a British banker whose remit spans trading, investment banking and international wealth management, saw his pay for the year ending 31 March jump 25% from $12m a year earlier, according to filings.
