Mid-market private equity firm Cap10 Partners has bought out its cornerstone investor in a pivot away from institutional fundraising.

The London-based buyout shop acquired French asset manager Carmignac’s fund interest in June and is now mostly managing its own balance sheet, according to a person familiar with the matter.
