Private markets pay tops £500k, nearly double public-focused jobs

The pay frenzy across private markets has started to calm, but packages for senior professionals command a lead over public markets

Senior fund managers working in private markets can command pay packages almost double those on offer elsewhere in the sector, but rapid hikes in remuneration have started to calm.

With fund managers pushing into private markets, pay for professionals with expertise in the sector has spiralled, with managing directors and partners frequently commanding in excess of £500,000, according to City headhunters Leverton Search.
