Rich Americans look to London as UK battles non-dom exodus

Roughly 14,000 millionaires left the UK in 2024, but there’s been a ‘significant increase’ in enquiries from wealthy US families willing to take a chance on the City

Wealth managers have seen a surge in the number of rich Americans seeking to move to the UK, even as changes to the country’s non-dom rules have pushed thousands of millionaires from their shores.

Wealth experts have told Financial News that while the UK is battling an exodus of affluent individuals, the current US administration is also prompting well-heeled Americans to eye London as their new home.
