Rothschild & Co has tapped a top financial sponsors dealmaker from Barclays, as investment banks look to do more work with private equity firms in Europe. 

Andrew Richards, who was latterly co-head of financial sponsors for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Barclays, is set to join Rothschild, according to people familiar with the matter.
