Stifel eyes European expansion after Bryan Garnier deal 

The US bank is planting a flag in Europe after buying a Paris-based bank

Stifel wants to beef up its European investment banking business after buying Paris-based boutique Bryan Garnier. 

The US-headquartered investment bank, which has shaken up its European business with a pullback from equities trading, will look to bolster its team after the deal, Bryan Garnier’s co-founder, now head of advisory and equities for the European technology and healthcare groups at Stifel, Greg Revenu told Financial News.
