July 2021 will be remembered as a golden month for the fintech industry when pandemic-driven growth led to skyrocketing valuations of two of the biggest names in global fintech: Revolut and Robinhood.

Revolut hit a valuation of $33bn in July 2021 after raising $800m in a funding round, while Robinhood reached a valuation of $32bn on its IPO debut in the US the same month.
