Trading Places: FCA brings in international expertise, Rathbones overhauls top team

The Financial Conduct Authority hired from US and Canadian regulators as it looks to bolster its international expertise. Mark White, the former chief executive of Ontario’s Financial Services Regulatory Authority, will join the UK’s markets watchdog on 17 November as head of department for appointed representatives. Meanwhile Rob Hegarty, a former senior advisor at the US Securities and Exchange Commission, will join to cover market structure, digitisation, cyber resilience and artificial intelligence.
