Monzo announced that chief executive TS Anil would step down after almost six years leading the UK digital bank, during which time it has become one of Britain’s biggest fintechs with a valuation of £4.5bn. Anil is set to be replaced in February by former Google executive Diana Layfield, who currently chairs development finance body British International Investment.
