Staff will shift if euro-clearing does, says Aberdeen chief

The chief executive of Aberdeen Asset Management said the fund manager will move "more jobs to Europe" if regulators seek to rehouse euro-clearing in the European Union after Brexit.

Martin Gilbert, who will take on a new role of co-CEO of Standard Life Aberdeen if his company's merger with the insurer wins approval from UK competition authorities, said: "If you take euro clearing... if that did move to Europe, we would clearly have to move more jobs to Europe."
