Eutelsat shares soared after the company said it was considering a capital increase of 1.35 billion euros ($1.55 billion) to support its long-term strategy.

The Paris-based satellite operator said late Thursday that the capital increase would support its long-term strategic vision, driven by strong market momentum in the Low Earth Orbit-enabled connectivity market.
