Schroders, the UK-listed fund group, is outsourcing a significant part of its technology function as part of an ongoing cost-cutting drive under new chief executive Richard Oldfield.

The $758bn asset manager has picked digital consultants UST to take over services across its IT infrastructure and support division, Financial News can reveal.
